Oh, I’m not saying it is – I just had to laugh when I realized I was doing it without noticing.  The John voice (which is a lot more subtle) happens at times too; but luckily I don’t channel his typing. XD

a legit email from a friend some years ago in college ended approx. thusly: “PS: please give yourself an hour between reading hp fanfic and writing me planning emails – I feel like I was just emailed by Snape.” oh how I laughed… she was right too.

I have had this same problem, for this same reason.   Fanfiction on lunchbreaks can be dangerous.  I seem to like to pick upon that acerbic overly formal tone and just kind of…. go with it.
