*flail* okay, i need to rewatch the movie now…..neither of these scenes were in the book (which is fresh in my mind)
One of the major messages that One Piece offers is that of having impossible dreams, aiming for the stars and never giving up on them. Some of the dreams the crew has are quite possible – making a map of the world, becoming a great warrior, finding a lost friend – while others seem to be so far out there as to be impossible – finding the lost history, beating out every other contender to become the Pirate King, learning how to cure every illness in the world.
It doesn’t matter what their dreams, though, the crew never stops to think ‘Is this possible? Can I really do this?’ They show no hesitations, no doubt, no reluctance at taking up the challenge. Each looks forward, towards those dreams and strives to make them a reality.

To launch the high quality TV channel TNT in Belgium we placed a big red push button on an average Flemish square of an average Flemish town. A sign with the text “Push to add drama” invited people to use the button. And then we waited…
Admit it, you’d have pressed the button too…
