BFI screening anecdote: Sherlock’s parents.
As you saw Benedict’s real life parents play Sherlock & Mycroft’s mother and father.
At the BFI screening, as soon as they came on screen, the place erupted, went bat shit crazy and the hysteria lasted throughout their scene. When Benedict was asked about the reaction to his parents during the Q+A afterwards he said it almost made him cry and he couldn’t wait to go and tell them about it.
Liar, tho.
