You know when Atlin Merrick says to me… “You know what you should do…” well, the answer is probably stick my fingers in my ears and start singing “God save the Queen” very loudly. I didn’t this time. Very quick sketch, done in two hours with my face burning the whole time XD
I know, I know. I’m packing my overnight bag for my trip to hell.
Livia is one of the only artists I know who draws his arse lush, as it is supposed to be. Look at the gorgeous thing. It’s like a succulent fruit.
P.S. Livia doesn’t even know the words to God Save the Queen.
We’re reasonably confident that the very next thing to happen to Sherlock and John, is the very last thing you’d expect…

30 day OTP challenge – 1. holding hands
I wanted to try this for a while. I’m going to ignore the ‘30 day’ part, but I’ll try my best to do it in the right order.

The only reason Sebastian is still alive is the cleverly timed pop culture references, and the great sex.
The wings and this particular AU are inspired by song The Crane Wife from The Decemberists.

Drawing finally done! Started 3 months ago, It took a way longer than I expected. I thought that drawing in white on black would be easier but not at all. The thing is, to have white really really white, I had to draw so many times that I’ve lost count (I killed 3 entire pencils to achieve it.)
The process was so long also because of the large size of the drawing; the principal difficult was to do all these different lightings and shadows. My favourite part was to draw Sherlock climbing the stairs; I loved to draw the shadow on his coat and the staircase. But I didn’t enjoy so much drawing the hair of the profile, it drove me crazy! I was really happy when I put my signature at the end.
Credit to Ian Derry for the 2 wonderful reference photos I’ve used:
He also inspired me the idea for the composition of the drawing with this post.
See here, the work in progress:
