“Bring the axes. I’ll get the guns. We’re going to find those two fuckers. And then I get to kill mine.”

“I still don’t understand. They were both dead. I saw him. And I saw the photos of Mor-…”

“Well, they like tricks, don’t they? And the arrogant bastards thought we wouldn’t track them down, either.”

“They’re together? You’re sure?”

“Yeah.”

“Jesus, Sebastian.”

“Jesus had nothing to do with it.”

((I just need this here again.))

#I once saw an article that was like #’writers’ #’you need to stop saying this’ #and I was like #no actually #it’s actually true #sure it all starts with me #but after that? #aside from writing it down #and the occasional nudge #I’m out of the picture

SERIOUSLY.  If your characters don’t have a life outside of you, how can they ever live for somebody else?  And if they’ve got minds of their own, they can’t be told what to do ALL the time.  Plot as elaborately as you like in advance, but if the plot is wrong for the characters, nothing will ever get finished, or what does will be unsatisfactory.  I mean, I know that there are people who have different creative processes, and don’t think or feel this way about the writing process, and that’s all cool, but LOTS OF PEOPLE DO and that’s all cool too.

^^^ Yes.  So true.
